Cruise Fleet Database

We maintain a number of specialist relational databases covering the cruise, ferry, fast ferry, ro-ro, and luxury yacht markets.  The database covering maritime tourism and leisure, for instance, comprises of over 1,000 vessels including 749 ships currently active in the cruise industry.

The fully comprehensive database contains details of ship sizes (length, berths, draught etc) ownership, crewing arrangements, name changes, classifications and much more.

We are unique in holding data going back over 15 years and G.P.Wild (International) Ltd has been used as an expert witness in many legal situations due to the robustness and comprehensive nature of this information.

In addition to our comprehensive database we have also developed a unique cruise industry model which facilitates the calculation of cruise ship supply and demand. This model produces forward projections in supply and demand and the balance between them, thus enabling estimates to be made of future capacity needs. This is especially useful for those clients seeking to estimate the future shipbuilding requirements of the cruise industry.

To further support our research work in international transport, trade and tourism we utilise a number of other databases.  In particular we use a comprehensive database covering the world's commercial fleet of over 45,000 vessels and one that covers the world's liner trades.  This latter database allows rapid and detailed analysis of the world's liner fleet to be undertaken using a variety of criteria such as regional deployment or services by country, port, operator or conference.
